Academics
In Academics, which is first and foremost sphere of an educational institution, our school has always been providing an atmosphere which inspires students to tap their potentiality, develop constructive thinking, reasoning and problem-solving ability. NDS feels proud of having a team of highly qualified, experienced, competent and devoted teachers who are dedicated to the great cause of educating the children. Due emphasis is laid on the development of conversation skills and to communicate effectively. School also provides a suitable platform for various co-curricular activities for all the round development of each and every child’s personality.
Co-Curricular Activities
While academics provide knowledge of various subjects, aptitude, attitude and integrity are some of the virtues that students acquire through Inter House competitions. The students are divided into four houses and during their schooling years the qualities of honesty, trust, leadership, co-operation, team spirit, risk taking, tolerance etc. are imbibed in them. Various activities are organised in the school to give ample scope to exploit the innate talent in the students to emerge and flourish. The children have the freedom to choose the activity of their liking and channelize their creative ideas to develop their latent skills. The teachers play the role of a moderator and the students conduct the activities on their own. The activities available in the school include (but not limited to) Morning assembly programmes, Inter -House competitions, House meetings, English and Hindi recitation, calligraphy, elocution, on the spot drawing & painting competitions, group singing, Solo singing, Quiz competitions, Moot (debatable) courts, Rangoli competitions, individual talent show, fancy dress, School band, Performing arts, Foot drills, Annual function, National sporting competitions etc. It is ensured that every student must take part in maximum activities as per his /her talent. More activities are also added with time and as per the requirement of the students.
Kindergarten Section
Going to kindergarten is an important step for the child. It will help them learn skills that they will build on throughout their life. At kindergarten the child will grow socially and emotionally. Their ability to think, use and recognize language and their fine motor skills are developed through play, art, dance, music, movement and interacting with others. Most importantly, the child learns to become an effective learner as they develop and extend their communication skills, build their self-confidence, learn to be creative, and develop skills that assist them with reading, writing and mathematics. Children come to kindergarten in the year before school, usually when they are four years old.
Sports and Physical Education
School holds number of sports & games activities for its students in every session. It aims at the all-round development of a child’s personality.
