The aim of this program is to enable the poor, unemployed and helpless women to become economically independent & self-employed. Vocational education is concerned with the training on a vocation. It is related to productivity. Vocational education prepares individuals for jobs and has adequate employment potential. It helps in broadening of horizons and leads to dignity of labour. It is helpful in the maximum utilisation of the material resources and makes an individual self-reliant.

‘Hari Kirpa Silai Kendra’ as the name suggests is a boon & a blessing for the women of economically weaker section of the society. The main motive behind this initiative of the Ashram is to uplift the poor and downtrodden women & help them to become self-employed. For admission into this centre, 26 candidates are selected every year on the basis of poverty & need. Their training period is of one year in which they learn & practice the skill of stitching & sewing. At the end of the session, they are given a passing certificate, a sewing machine & other accessories associated with stitching all free of cost.
The centre runs in two batches of 13 students each, coming either in the morning or afternoon shift. Having a small number helps their trainer to give individual attention to each trainee. Along with this, they are also taught ‘Hari Kirtan’ and shabads from Gurbani & the significance of selfless service (sewa) in life. Thus, after finishing their one-year course, these women definitely grow in confidence & become independent dressmakers & seamstresses. They not only develop professionally but grow spiritually as well.

ITI is running vocational courses under Department of Industrial Training, Haryana since 2010. The courses being run are COPA, under National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and ‘Cutting and Sewing’, ‘Embroidery and Needle Work’ under State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT). In addition to this, it is also running MES program in Medical Lab Technology. The total number of seats in all the trades are 160. As per norms of DGT, the institute has well equipped infrastructure as well as highly qualified and experienced staff. It is a matter of great pride and honour for the staff, students and parents that, this distinguished institution with its sole mission to impart absolutely free training to the children falling under EWS category, regardless of caste, colour and religion is flourishing under the divine patronage of His Holiness Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj.
